PIU SUPPORT CONSULTANTS – STRENGTHENING PRIVATE SECTOR PARTICIPATION IN TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING (FUNDED BY ADB)

The project supports the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the Period to 2015 and a state program to reform the TVET system for 2012– 2020. The project impact will be a national workforce with an increased proportion of skilled workers employed in Tajikistan. The outcome will be a demand-driven, quality-assured, and flexible TVET system responsive to labour market needs.

The project has four outputs: (i) technical and vocational education and training system methodology modernized, (ii) physical learning facilities upgraded, (iii) access to quality programs improved, and (iv) governance and management strengthened. The government, private sector (employers and private training providers), nongovernment organizations, and development partners will be involved in delivering the outputs. The output (ii) requires, design, construction supervision and procurement of TVET equipment.
