Assignment Name and Brief Description of Main Deliverables or Outputs

The objective of the assignment is to improve the quality of the preparation, execution and implementation of water supply and sanitation projects and integrated sector reform objectives via introducing and discussing good asset management practice by means of a well-structured Workshop and Webinar event for a group of key decision-makers and managers from the Target Countries.

The Workshop will focus on:
(i) presenting the merits of asset management, which if done well – enables operational success, and if neglected – drags a business back and can trigger failure;
(ii) showing how information, data and tools from others, including the private sector, can facilitate and accelerate realisation of these benefits;
(iii) identifying of the demonstrable benefit that others have experienced through adoption of good asset management practices by showing “success stories” from Central Europe;
(iv) presentation and discussion on how asset management can strengthen climate resilience in the water sector;
(v) presentation on financial drivers for climate resilience and climate risk management in the water sector (including a briefing on the Task Force for Climate-related Financial Disclosures); and
(vi) exploring the barriers to entry and the measures necessary to create institutional commitment.
