CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE FINANCIAL SECTOR PROGRAMME VALUE CHAIN AGRO FINANCE (FUNDED BY KFW)

The Program aims to create and support selected value chains across the Republic of Tajikistan for the production of competitive agri-food products in a sustainable way and promote the use of good agricultural practice and best available techniques in processing and distribution. This will increase the competitiveness of Tajik agro-food products on local and regional markets.
The objectives of the consultancy assignment are to:
a) Support MEDT and KfW in the implementation of Programme “Value Chain Agro-Finance”;
b) Assist the Partner Financial Institutions (PFIs) to improve their agricultural credit technology and business models with regard to costs and risks as well as best practice Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) thus leading to the sustainable extension of long-term loans to the target group;
c) Provide business planning and credit application training to the target group including the establishment of best agricultural practices.
